ATTENDANCE ISSUES and other notes and reminders

~School starts at 8:30!  When your child comes in late it is a disruption for everyone.  Please be more considerate of other students, teachers, and staff and get to school on time.  Everyone is late once or twice here and there, it is part of life. Being late every day is a CHOICE and it is putting your child at a disadvantage.  They start the day behind, and flustered, and most importantly they are missing instruction.  

LATE

~In order to do well in school, you have to come to school.  We are noticing trends developing in some students with the amount of absences, and the frequency of absences.  In today's educational environment, there is NO makeup work. If your child misses school, he or she is missing instruction.  INSTRUCTION cannot be made up. 

~The next 4 months are critical in the development of your child! Please come to school EVERY day and be ON TIME!  

~End of Month Luncheon this month is on Friday the 31st  and is for STUDENTS only.  Students must have 9 books read in order to attend.  This is a reward for those going above and beyond the district standard.  Those students not reaching 9 books will not receive the reward and will have lunch in the cafeteria. We are asking the parents of boys to send in desserts on Friday!  THANk YOU in advance.  Students do not need to bring lunch, Mr. Gibbons and Mrs. Goodman will provide food and drink.

~Word Study Test is Tuesday.
