Collecting Shells

 ~The Gibbon Apes did an awesome job of making jugs to collect specimens on the beach!

Wet Lab & Manicures at the Marine Science Center

 ~We had a blast receiving Mayport Manicures at the hands of the hungry shrimp...not the Jumbo kind...these were mini-shrimp!  We got handle starfish, hermit crabs, urchins...even a flounder!

A Day at the Beach

 ~We ended our day on the beach collecting sea shells and observing nature at its finest!  We could not have asked for more perfect weather!

Warm Winter Run

 ~Competitive Running had their last run on the beach before the Jingle Bell Run on Saturday!  Travis, Allison, and Domenic  will be running in Saturday's race!

~Reminder that our tip to the Marine Science Center is this coming Wednesday!  Do not forget to pack a lunch and create a collection jug!

Esperanza Rising!

~We finished our second novel of the year, Esperanza Rising by Pam Nuñoz Ryan!  What an awesome story of a girl who goes from riches to rags...but becomes a much better person and learn to identify with the lives and rights of those less fortunate.  On average, we scored it am 8!  We learned a lot about figurative language and symbolism!  Number the Stars is next!

100 Points on Accelerated Reader

~Congratulations to Ava ad Domenic!  they earned their 100 Point Gumboil Surprise!  It is a hefty after bottle loaded with 50 gourmet gum balls!  Way to go guys!

Order your pies today!

~Order forms went home today for Cinotti's pies!  You can order them as last as November 16th!  All pies will be delivered to the school on November 22nd!  Pick them up at the end of the day!  A big chunk of each sale will go back to the school to benefit your child!

Meeting Jill

 ~We ended our Breast Cancer Awareness Month with Facetime with Jill!  Jill told us all bout her life and how luck she is to be alive!  She gave us free T-shirts...and we learned so much about cancer and overcoming obstacles........
