Kimball's Farm

~Visited Kimaball's Farm in Westford, MA on Tuesday.  It is a 15 minute bike ride from Camp Gibbo.  They make their own icecream from the milk of their own cows.  A kiddie cup is too big for the normal person.  We then went behind the barns to swings some bats at some balls in the batting cages.  Great day of vacation.

Halfway to Christmas

~We celebrated the halfway point to Chriastmas today up here in Mass.  We then had our annual Gibbo Ping Pong Tournament.  Mr. G. won for the second year in a row.  I didn't talk any trash though.....

~We also went to the local bakery to buy fresh bread.

~I am actually wearing sweatshirts at night..... it gets chilly at night.

Greetings from Tennessee

~I spent a week in the Appalachian Mountains.  They stretch from Georgia all the way up to Maine.  The Cumberland Gap was beautiful and got to meet up with some old teacher friends in Knoxville.  Sadly, my camera battery went dead while up there... and I had no electricity...... so there are not a lot of picture.  The last picture is me in my brother Frank's  restored 1960's Ford Galaxy.  What a ride!

Have a great summer...and a few lessons

~Goodbye Apes!  We have spent a year together.  Remember what you have learned here!  Do not forget the lessons from the Holocaust.  Remember to always be a good sport when you lose, clean up after yourself, don't pick your nose, and say thank you.

~Remember that good deeds and accomplishments speak for themselves.  Nobody...and I do mean nobody likes a braggart (someone who brags).

~Read.  Every smart and or wealthy person I have ever met, reads!

~Do not call attention to yourself!  If you are doing something good or worthy, attention will come to you, you do not need to call it!

~Just because you hear something does not make it true.  If you say it loud enough and long enough people will start to believe it.  Remember what happened to the Jews in Europe because of this way of thinking.

~Remember that people are going to judge you on your appearance: clothes, hair, tattoos, piercings, shoes, makeup etc.  It is wrong to judge people based on these things..... but it is the way of the world.  Think twice before you do these things!

~Remember you can always come back to 71 and 73.  When you need a shoulder to cry on, or someone to understand you, or just someone to root for you, we will both be here!  We will never judge you or send you away.  You are an APE!  Now, go out there and make us proud of you!

The Bank Has Closed

~The last accounts of the Gibbo/Goody Bank have been closed!  Hopefully you got the lesson that was taught through the bank..... and that lesson is:  Those who save always have money when they need it.  Those who DO NOT save, miss out on a lot of stuff.  Those who save always get higher rewards.  Take this lesson with you into life:  SAVE!

~Ann, Rachael,  and Saejin out-saved everyone.  Ann got the Money Train, and Saejin and Rache got the craft monkey bags.  Hopefully you found some fun stuff in those bags to keep you busy in the summer. The top five accounts were Ann, Saejin, Rachael S., Abey and Jamia.

Saying goodbye o our last day to Ms. Gay
