APES are famous!

Freak the Mighty by Rodman Philbrick

~We started our new novel, Freak the Mighty today!  I ahem not heard the Apes laugh this much in a while!  We met our two main characters Maxwell and Freak.  They are two completely opposite (or so it seems) boys.  One is super smart but suffers from physical handicaps, the other is a huge boy who struggles at school.  We inferred that Maxwell's father is probably not a good duh due to the fact that Max is living with Grim and Gram instead of his father.  I wonder where he is????

Thursday's field trip!

~Don't forget to bring a bagged lunch for Thursday's field trip to the Marine Science Center.  Each student will also need an empty milk or juice jug for our beach exploration.  The bus leaves at 8:30 on the nose.  If you are late..... we'll see you when we get back!
~Leave Gameboys and Ipods at home.

~Congratulations to Maya!  She has joined the 100 Point Club on Accelerated Reader!  She joins Sayjay, Rache, Abe, Alex, AbbyS, Spike, Angel and Henry with 100 points.  
~Remember the Ape with the most AR Points on May 1st, is the Grand High Pubah for 2012, and gets their End of year trip PAID for!
