Thursday is Wax Museum

~All Apes will be participating int he live Beauclerc Wax Museum from 9:00 AM to 12:00 noon on Thursday the 23rd!


~All students participating in the evening Live Wax Museum need to be at school at 5:30 PM.  It is not mandatory to participate.  Our AWESOME PTA will be providing some pizza and drink to all evening participants. 


~Wear your costume to school, and bring a change of clothes......

Great Birthday Idea!

~Happy Birthday to Hannah and Rache!  They had an awesome birthday idea!  Come celebrate their birthday with NO PRESENTS.... just bring a donation for a worthy cause!  Hopefully this idea spreads to other kids!

February's End of Month Luncheon

~February's End of Month Luncheon will actually be the first Friday in March!  Mark your calendars for Friday March 2nd at 11:45!  All Apes must have reached their February Book Goal to attend!

Rest in Peace Bruno and Shmuel!

~Can you believe we finished The Boy in the Striped Pajamas already?  What a great book!  The majority of us agreed that it was a great novel....but Milkweed was a little better.  Bruno died in the end... he sneaked into the camp to help Shmuel find his father and got caught up in liquidation of one of the barracks.  Their friendship in the end what made the book so special.  We also discussed that this novel was definitely historical fiction; but it was also a fable. There were some great lessons......

Having Fun at School!

~Today was the last day of working on our backboards for Beauclerc's Wax Museum!  Next Thursday all APES will be participating in a Live Wax Museum for the entire school.  There will also be a Live Wax Museum at night from 6:30 - 7:30 PM.  We put the finishing touches on our backboards today.  There a re a few Apes who have not finished...... they can finish Tuesday and Thursday during recess.

~Welcome to Beauclerc Devin!  He is off to a great start!  

~Bruno is going back to Berlin!  What is Schmuel going to do?  The boys decide to plan one last adventure.... find Schmuel's father!  We pretty much know where he is...or isn't...but the boys put their minds together and plan to find him.  How is Bruno going to get to the other side of the fence to help his friend?  Find out tomorrow!
