WIld Adventures

~Please be on the lookout for your child's End of Year Trip permission slip to Wild Adventures in Valdosta, GA on June 5th.  This park is more of a high end traditional amusement park.  Lines are never long...and there are tons of rides for the fearless and the fearful, and prices for food in the park are very reasonable.  The price of the entire trip, luxury Coach bus included is $55.  This price also includes the Grade 5 Cookout after the Grade Five Awards the following day.  The original cost of the trip had to be adjusted due to the increase in gas prices.

~For parents driving up on their own, the cost is $30.

~For students with season passes to Wild Adventures, the cost of the bus is $25.

~All student MUST ride the bus.

~The approximate mileage from Beaulcerc to Wild Adventures is 125 miles, that would be 250 miles round trip.  It would probably be cheaper to ride the bus than drive.... unless you carpool with a group of parents.  

~Any APE parents that attends the trip, WILL NOT be asked to chaperon any student other than their own....unless they want to take a friend of their own child.  Mrs. Goodman and Mr. Gibbons will chaperon those without a parent attending.

~All students must meet the District goal of 25 Books.

~Any student who receives a referral between now and the time of the trip will not be allowed to go.

~The busses leave at 7:45 AM, and it waits for nobody!

~The busses leave Valdosta at 5:45.  

~NO Beauclerc student is allowed in the water park at any time during our visit.

~School dress code will be enforced!  All APES must wear their class shirt.

~I believe referral was misspelled on the permission slip...sorry!

Cultural Arts Day 2012

~What an awesome day!  Thanks to our awesome PTA for an incredible Cultural Arts Day!  We met an awesome author. some of you marched in an awesome parade, we watch a new mural being created, and we danced to Caribbean music.... We topped the day off with a picnic and Raffle!  It's good to be a student at Beauclerc...and it's good to be an Ape.

Jacksonville Public Library Sale

~Hopefully, some of you got to go the Jacksonville Public Library Book Sale.  It was pretty cool.  You get to fill a whole paper shopping back with as many books as you can fit inside...for $10!  Mr. G scored almost 50 books for $20!  I will try to find out when the next book sale is and post it on here.  They do this about 3 times a year to make room for new books.  I saw a few former Apes browsing through the books.
