Family Fun

~San Pablo's Competitive Running Club will be running The Hats Off Hustle on Jax Beach on September 30, 2016.  If you wish to run the race with us, you can register by clicking HERE!  A few from Rooms 11 & 13 have already registered! The cost is $20 which includes a cool T-shirt, entry to the race, goodies, water, snacks, etc.!!!  Mr. Gibbons will be running!

Maniac Groups

~Bad News: The East Enders have run Maniac out of town! Amanda's plan did not work!  He was able to accomplish the impossible feat of untying Cobbles Knot!  However, it made Mars Bar and John hate him even more...he fled town..... Does anyone see a theme developing?  Mother and Father die, Dot and Dan abandon him, the Beale's home does not work out...hmmmm

Responding to Text

 ~We are learning how to respond to text and how to add evidence to make our point more believable and valid.  This is really going to help us when we attack the Bill of Rights and the Universal Declaration of Human Rights!  

Guided Reading

 ~We broke off into our small groups to attack the novel Maniac Magee and some worked with Mr. Gibbons!  We are also learning about human rights and how Jeffrey is being denies his rights at every turn!  Dot and Dan denied him his rights, John McNab, Mars Bar, they are all making his life miserable in the end.

 ~We are thoroughly enjoying Jerry Spinelli's masterpiece Maniac Magee! Our main character is a homeless orphan who just wants to belong to a family!
