We started our Research Project on World War I today. They have started off really well. All the research is done, and we are beginning to actually write them. Below you can see many of our students displaying their beginnings on the docucam, and explaining why their beginning is engaging! This also helps many fellow classmates see what a good beginning looks like. Thanks to those who volunteered to share, and to those who Mr. Gibbons made volunteer!
Here, JT adds his own voice by referring to the time period as "darkness"
Rashod explains how he made his beginning interesting.

PICKLES!
OK, the whole PICKLE thing.... it is not a joke! There is a real story with an awesome message behind it. Today we decorated our door with pickles to remind us how beautiful life is. There is a school wide contest for the best door, and we have removed ourselves from the competition. it wouldn't be fair. Our pickle door is that incredible. Wink wink. We had fun making our own little pickle people. Jamie actually brought in a pickle ornament that she has had for years to prove this pickle story is NO PICKLE!
