We finally started Milkweed! We met "
Stopthief" today, and the young man who took him in, Uri. Is he a Gypsy or a Jew? They join up with a group of homeless Jewish orphans in Warsaw, Poland. The year is 1939, and the month is September, and all the Apes know what that means! We also learned that the Poles were not too nice to the Jews either. Will the boys save themselves, or will they be victims of the ovens?
