~We finished our second novel, Mr. Tucket by Gary Paulsen. If we learned nothing else from this novel, it was: DO NOT JUDGE A BOOK BY ITS COVER! This book was actually pretty engaging and we learned a lot about figurative language, Native Americans , and the Trail of Tears. Our country is the most incredible place, but we are not perfect, and have made mistakes such as those made during this tragic time in our history. We learn of these mistakes so hopefully we do not repeat them.
