The Roaring Twenties and the Great Depression
~We just finished learning about the 1920's and what an exciting time they were for citizens of the United States. Automobile were affordable for the first time. Electricity and light bulbs became commonplace. Women were voting and flexing their power for the first time in American history. people were spending and borrowing like theri was no tomorrow. On October 29, 1929, it all came to an end. The stock market crashed and businesses fell apart. There were chain reactions that led to millions of people losing their homes and jobs. Millions of children quit school to help their families. It was a sad time all over the world, and in America. The Apes are becoming experts on the history of their country!
