Paul Revere: Interesting Facts

~Paul Revere, one of the Fathers of our Country led a very interesting life. Did you know:

*His father was a Huguenot just like Jean Ribault.  
*He was a member of the Sons of Liberty.
*He was one of the leaders of the Boston Tea Party.
*He drew the inaccurate picture of the Boston Massacre which was used as propaganda.
*He outlived all of his 16 children, except one, Mary.
*He was born Paul Rivoire (He was French), and changed it to the more English sounding Revere.
*His house still stands today!
*The town next to Boston is named after him, Revere, Massachusetts.
*He was a silversmith, painter, dentist, soldier, author, bell maker, and politician...among other things
*He never made it to Concord  to warn that the British were coming, Samuel Prescott was the one!
