~Lunch in the classroom is a privilege not a right and must be earned.
~The goal for January's Luncheon on the 25th is 28 Books! This is the classroom goal... Remember, all APES will read 60 books this year. If your child is reading for 35 minutes every night, this goal will be easy to reach. (nonfiction only in January)
~If your child forgets his or her lunch, please do not bring it to school..... they will not starve, we will feed them something. Children learn responsibility from consequences and rewards. The same goes for homework, backpacks, permission slips, projects etc.
~You are all welcome at any time to visit and observe in Rooms 71 and 73... and we don mean ANY time. However, when you come, please DO NOT engage your teachers in conversation as we are teaching and supervising. This is in the best interest of YOUR child as well all others. If you would like to speak with your child's teachers, we are available for conferences almost all afternoons after 3:30 and mornings before 8:15. Between the hours of 8:15 and 3:15, we CANNOT meet with you, this is your child's instructional time.
