Erika's Story by Ruth Vander Zee

 ~She doesn't know her birth name.  She doesn't know her birth date.  She does not know where she was born.  She does not know if she has brothers or sisters.  The ONE thing...and the only thing she knows about herself is that her mother threw her from a train headed for a concentration camp.  A person living nearby found her wrapped in a blanket and loved her and raised her.  Her name is Erika.  This is Erika's Story.  What a great book with awesome pictures by Roberto Innocenti.  This book would be classified under biography because Erika did not write it.  If Erika had written the story it would be an autobiography.  Today wee learned that auto means self!
