~Wow, we are really cruising through Maniac Magee! It seems like yesterday when he ran away from Dot and Dan's. We have really had to make a lot of inferences in this novel about what is going on. Based on the Treasure Hunts, the APES are really getting the things that Jerry Spinelli is trying to get across. So far he has been run out of Two Mills by both Black and White gangs, run out if Bridgeport by his aunt and uncle, and he has become quite the runner. We should finish our first novel next week...WOW!
