~Can you believe that we are almost finished reading The Boy in the Striped Pajamas? Bruno and Schmuel have become good friends despite what Bruno did to Schmuel when confronted by Lieutenant Kotler. Bruno actually now has lice which has angered his mother greatly! His father shaved his head to ensure they do not return to Bruno's head! he actually looks like a well fed Schmuel! Did Bruno get the lice from Schmuel...or did Lieutenant Kotler bring it into the house? We all agreed it was probably Bruno. Where will their friendship go from here? We all inferred that Pavel is probably gone due to the fact he no longer has any use to the Nazis.... and thankfully, Lieutenant Kotler has been shipped off due to his inappropriate behavior around Gretel and Mother.
