~We finished reading our first Holocaust genre novel, Number T=the Stars, by Lois Lowry. We were glad to find out that Ellen made it safe to Sweden, but were saddened to find out that Peter's secret life in the Resistance was discovered by the Nazis, and he was publicly executed. We also learned that the fictional character of Peter was inspired by a real Danish teenager named Kim who gave hi life for his country. Thanks Ms. Lowry for an awesome novel. We understand why you won a lot of awards for this book.
~Look who got new ID cards! Congratulations to Spike, Alex and Abbey! They have each earned over 100 AR points! Alex was the Grand High Pubah for three days! Spike regained the lead, and has almost 150 points!
