Gladys Prior Awards
12th Annual Dinner.....
Hopefully Mr. G will not be upset with me for posting these on "HIS" blog..... but I know that his family frequents his blog and I wanted them to see how proud we are of him. Mrs. Kornblum, Mrs. Whitelaw and I spent a wonderful evening with Mr. G as he received The Gladys Prior Award. It was wonderful to spend the evening with and hear the stories of four awesome teachers in our Duval County Schools.
Mr. Gilchrist Berg established these awards to honor his 4th Grade teacher at Ortega Elementary School. In the program he says..."Teachers are one of our most important assets. We simply don't do enough to remind ourselves of their great influence on us every day of our life. Maybe in some small way, these awards will cause others to reflect on the great contributions teachers have made to their lives and the lives of their families."
It made me proud to be a teacher tonight. Congratulations Mr. G.....We love you
