(this is an awesome story for children 10 and older who have extensive background knowledge on WWII and the Holocaust)
Bruno
~No FCAT today! Mrs. Peck and I decided to go ahead and start The Boy in the Striped Pajamas. No, there is not a mistake in the blog title. Pajamas is spelled with a "Y" in Ireland. The original manuscript for the book had it spelled with a "Y". In Ireland it is common that pajamas is spelled this way. We noticed some other word such as favourite and centre are spelled differently as well. We met Bruno today....he's a lot like Misha in that he is very very naive. Mrs. peck did an awesome job as "Mother", and Natalee was an awesome "Maria". Already we know there are problems. Bruno has discovered something that made his jaw drop outside of his bedroom window. We will find out what he has seen next week!
~Savanna was not able to do her response on video today. She had to do FCAT makeup. We will try again on Monday or Tuesday.
Dylan looks engaged
The class went bonkers when they learned we were starting today. They have been asking for three weeks when we would begin the novel.
