Essay Writing
~For almost all fourth graders, this will be their first attempt at writing an essay. We will be writing about the ways drones may change our lives, from farming and rescue recovery, to delivery of goods to the homes of American citizens. We will be learning about making a thesis statement, creating a plan to stay on track, elaborating on points made, adding evidence to make our writing credible, and making creative closing statements.
~We will do our first essay together, and responsibility will be released to the student over time!

Point of View, Propaganda, or Truth?
~FIVE different points of view of the same event...which is the truth? Depends on your point of view! Ask your students to point out the difference in each sketch. Were the artists there? Did they base their drawing on eyewitness accounts, or just what they heard.... or did they take someone else's drawing and change it? One must consider "Was the artist a Loyalist or Patriot"?
