Sugar Loaf Mountain & Yankee Candle

~Drove out to the western part of the state today into the Berkshire Mountains. We visited the Yankee Candle Factory. This is where they are all made...way cool place..... then drove to the top of Sugar Loaf Mountain and had lunch.

Salisbury Beach & Seabrook Harbor

~Went to Salisbury Beach to putz around today with my oldest brother Tommy, and his son Tommy Jr. Spent some time watching the fishing boats come in, then went to the beach.

Rockport, Massachusetts

~Fourth of July in Rockport, Mass.

~Greetings from Rockport Mass. on Cape Ann in the northern part of the state. Most of the Gibbons family gathered here to celebrate the 4th of July. It was 88 degrees, and the water was refreshing. There were also some cool rock formations formed here by the glaciers during the Ice Age.

~Relaxing in the yard on a Saturday afternoon, when this young lady, sauntered out of the woods to eat some fallen apples. She did not seem scared of me in the least bit.

Six Flags New England

~Visited Six Flags Over New England in Agawam, Mass on Friday with Bridey, Meghan, Patrick, and Thomas Gibbons! What a blast! Up until now, the best roller coaster I had ever ridden was in Dollywood.... now it is the coater called Bizzaro at Six Flags. It was incredible.

Cape Cod with Gibby

~Spent the last 4 days on Cape Cod in Mass. Stayed in an old house with a widow's walk. A widow's walk is a set of stairs that go up to the roof, where there is a platform so they could see when their husband's fishing boats were coming in. They called it a widow's walk because so many fisherman were lost at sea in early new England. The widowas would climb the staris in hopes of seeing their husbands' fishing boats.

Parlee Farms - Tyngsboro, Mass.

~Spent an afternoon at Parlee Farms picking strawberries,and petting goats with Patrick (Earl), Bridie, Meghan, Ben, John, and Shamus Gibbons in Central Massachusetts.

Congratulations Boston Bruins

~Congratulations to the Boston Bruins.....excuse me...that is the Stanley Cup Champion Boston Bruins! This is Mr. G's favorite hockey team! Mr. G is now off to Tenn., Maine, NH, and Boston! Mrs. P is off to New York and Nova Scotia! Mrs. Goodman is off to the beach and off to lounge in her pool with Ryan! Have a great summer, and I will try to post from my adventures at least 2 times a week! Gibby and Goody will be with me, and I will post pictures of them on their first ever vacation!
