Fun in Fourth

 ~We are sailing through Maniac Magee, and Loser...... also learning about Historical text, Technical text, and how to properly answer an evidence based question, capitalization, punctuation, and quotation marks!  Fourth grade is so much fun!  Did you know Henry Ford is responsible for the way almost all companies manufacture goods today?  Did you know Christopher Columbus was Italian?  Did you knowAsians and Vikings were here long before him?  Did you know snake charming is all a fake? This is just some of the cool stuff we are learning.....

We met Mars Bar!

~We finally met Mars Bar Thompson, Maniac's arch-rival!  The antagonist of the story!  Maniac is our protagonist!  We ha our first partner reading practice today... everyone did awesome!

STAR Students

 ~Congratulations to Ethan and Paxton!  They are this week's STAR Students.  They were both great examples of how to be an awesome fourth grader.  

Our first novel......

 ~We started our first novel this week, Maniac Magee!  It is part of our novel study of Jerry Spinelli! It is an awesome story of a boy who is orphaned at age 3 and goes to live with relatives who are not the nicest people..... and he learns to be resilient and make the most of his life!

21-22 here we come!
