Natural Disasters Are Fun...to learn about!
~We are really involved in learning about the causes and effects of tsunamis, volcanoes, hurricanes, and earthquakes.
~We also started our next novel in our genre study of the Holocaust!

Goodbye Misha Milgrom
~Sadly, Janina, Mr. Milgorm, Unlce Shepsel along with over 11 million other victims perished in the camps like Treblinka. Misha made it... he survived! He moved to America, suffered greatly from PTSD, until his granddaughter's call silenced the Jackboots in his dreams. He lived happily ever after in Pennsylvania with his daughter and granddaughter! Thank you for making this best book ever Jerry Spinelli.

Fifth Grade Runners!
~Congratulations to fifth grade Sandpipers Allison and Travis they both placed in the top 3 at the Retro River Run in downtown Jacksonville on March 4th! Congrats also to Sara, Karl, and Theo from Grades 3 & 4!

~The girls from Room 13 swept the fifth grade awards at San Pablo's 5K for Play. The boys from Room 11 swept the boys awards!
