Text Structure
~Today we had some fun working on TEXT STRUCTURE which is how the author chooses to present the text. there are many ways an author can present text to the reader: Cause & Effect, Sequence/Chronological, Descriptive, Problem & Solution, and Comparing & Contrasting! No author uses just one method! We dove into text looking for different examples of each type of text structure.

Rest in Peace Janina
~We finished Milkweed. Sadly, Janina and her family, all except Misha, perished in the Holocaust. They were caught up in the roundups and sent to Treblinka log with almost all the Jews of Warsaw. We said goodbye to Kuba, Shepesel, Mr. Milgrom, Uri, Enos, Olek, and many others. Janina's spirit lives on in Misha's granddaughter Wendy Janina Milgrom. Her voice quiets the nightmares of the Jackboots for Misha. I found this picture online and it reminded me of the boys from the stable.
