Connection Section: Milkweed
~What did "Stopthief" see in the opening chapters of Milkweed? Here is actually footage of the bombardment, or Blitzkrieg of Warsaw in 1939. In our novel it was the boom booming by the Jackboots! You can see the people running, the destroyed trolleys, the horses, and the broken buildings! The narrator is speaking in Polish.
The Pickle Swap! (in honor of Mrs. Pickles)
~We had a blast celebrating the holidays and the beginning of our winter break! We participated in a 25 year APE tradition... THE PICKLE SWAP! To those of you who were good sports, your teachers say Thank You! To those of you who got upset, THANK YOU for the entertainment! We had a blast! Click on pictures to enlarge

~It is not the holidays without making gingerbread houses! Special thanks to Mr. & Mrs. Pickles for helping us out by gluing all the cartons to the platter, cutting all the graham crackers, and setting up our rooms in the morning! Thanks to Mr.s Allbritten for all her help in creating magical center pieces for your dining room tables!
