 ~We had a blast today at the Marine Science center in Mayport, Florida at the Marine Science Center!

End of a great novel!

~We finished The Boy in The Striped Pajamas today!  Sadly Bruno sneaks into Auschwitz to help his friend Shmuel find his father.  he gets caught in a roundup and sent to the gas chambers.  Remember in the beginning that John Boyne said this was a fable..... and a fable has a moral or message at the end.  What goes around comes around.  Be careful what you do to others for they will do it to you.  Karma.  Treat others how you want to be treated! Great novel Mr. Boyne!  Rest in Peace Bruno and Shmuel!

 ~We are really grooving and moving along in The Boy in the Striped Pajamas.  Bruno has head lice and had his head shaved.  Shmuel survived the beating that Kotler gave him.  Gretel is distraught because Lieutenant Kotler was transferred to the front lines.  Mother is sleeping all the time and taking too many medicinal sherries to drown out the fact of what her husband is doing at "Out With"..... We will be finished with this awesome novel by Tuesday...should be interesting to see where the boys' adventure takes them!  The Apes are awesome examples of how to partner read!

Science Fair Winners

 ~Congratulations to Alex, Javion, Jaila, Nadia, and Kevin for placing in the Science Fair!  Ans some HUGE Congratulations to Eleanor and Miguel for winning 1st Place!!!!!!  The judges must have had a hard time because all the project were really good!
